Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

Bell's in Varna gave us great service the other day when we had a flat tire. They got the tires we needed same day, replaced the flat, and made sure nothing else on the car had been damaged. The woman at the desk (Bridget?) could not have been nicer or more helpful.

Have gone here a couple of times for inspections and once for a repair to a Honda Pilot. Good service at fair price. Bridget, the customer service rep is always very helpful and polite.

I love the convenience of going to Bellβs. Iβve had two oil changes there, and their prices are excellent. They are fast and friendly. They also let me know that I would need new front brakes soon, so I could prepare financially and not be blindsided when the time comes. They didnβt push anything on me but just gave me the information I needed.

I've brought cars to Bell's for 10 years and have consistently gotten good or excellent service. They're honest, respectful, and not pushy. They make solid recommendations for services they don't provide. And they'll go the extra mile. Some of the highlights of 10 years: This summer, I called at 8am Monday to ask if they could get me a new tire since I got a flat over the weekend. They had me in at noon even though they were extra busy. I bought my tires through them just a couple months before, and the local supplier they work with replaced the tire at no charge. A few years ago, an employee accidentally scraped the paint on one of my doors. They told me immediately and paid to have the door replaced. They take time to explain things and answer questions. As a woman who knows very little about cars, I have always felt respected and that they treat me fairly. I've never once felt like they were trying to take advantage of my ignorance. They readily make suggestions for second opinions if I ask, and are just as accepting if I want to ask a friend for their advice before committing to expensive work. If I ever move, I would dread finding a new mechanic. Bell's would be a tough a

I wrote an earlier review discussing the problems I have with a rather expensive bill I incurred when getting transmission coolant lines replaced. The original review was negative, but the owner of Bellβs Auto followed up with me the next day to make things right. He ended up correcting parts of the bill, which saved me a significant amount. I genuinely appreciated that he followed up. It was clear he took the time to learn about my vehicle, the maintenance that was done, and the problems in the billing. This experience greatly increased my confidence with Bellβs Auto, which is why I am editing this review. Iβm not out to blame people for an honest mistake, and I am glad the situation could be resolved. I appreciate the ownerβs diligence and I have confidence that he runs an honest business.
